Heard Around The Dojo

Family Christmas Sponsorship

Once again this year we will be sponsoring Christmas for a number of families in the Durham region through the Children's Aid Society of Durham. We had a great response last year and are once again sponsoring two familes this year. We will be providing everything from the food to all the presents including wrapping them. Please see the information in the dojo.

Christmas Present Wrapping Party

Please join us on Thursday December 16th at 11:00, after the day class, to help wrap all the gifts that have been brought in for our sponsored families. The more hands (bring scissors and tape) the faster and more fun it is.

Family Party

The Annual dojo Adult Christmas party was well attended at the home of Belle and Sensei. As usual there was lots of great food and conversation. Thank you.

The Children and Family Party at the dojo was fun for everyone. We had a great turnout and thank you to everyone who helped out.

Dojo Fall Cleaning

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped do our Annual Fall Dojo Cleaning. Oskar and crew worked very hard on the flooring and everyone pitched in to make the dojo spotless.Thank you all again.

Watanabe Sensei Visit

We were very please and honoured to have Shihan Watanabe Ikuo Sensei teach our class on Wednesday November 10th. The students were delighted and motivated to train hard before his next visit, next year. Click here for some pictures

New Renseikan Dojo Crests

Our New Renseikan Dojo Crests are now available at the dojo. They can be used in many ways, on your dogi it should go on the left side, over your heart.

Family Christmas Party

This year's Children and Family Christmas Party will be held Thursday December 9th at the dojo from 6pm to 7:30pm. Please sign up at the dojo as we will supply the pizza and pop, we need to know the numbers. There will fun and games for everyone. We look forwar dto seeing everyone there.

Keiko Osame

We will "close" or year of training on Wednesday December 29th with special Keiko Osame classes. The Jodo class will begin at 7pm , the karate class at 8pm and the aikido class at 9pm. I hope everyone can make it out for this year end training session.
