Birthday Corner Happy Birthday in April

Heard Around The Dojo April's Yudansha Class A special Karate Yudansha class will be held on Sunday April 18th at 11am at the Hombu Dojo. The Aikido Yudansha class will follow at 1pm New Friendship Night Format We are going back the old Friendship night format. We will combine the Adult Karate and Aikido classes for a special 90 minute class where we will focus on both Karate and Aikido. Cross-Training. The first Friendship night will be Thursday April 22nd. The Class will start at 8:30pm. We will either go out for a social evening after or stay in the dojo. Open House Dinner Looks like April and probably May are going to quite hectic. We have to put our Open House Dinners on hold for April and May. Hopefully everything will be back to normal in June. Outdoor Training On Thursday April 29th we will run all our classes outdoor at the dojo. Please dress in running shoes. You can change at the dojo. In the event of inclement weather we will hold special classes indoors. Going to Okinawa, November 2010 The trip to Okinawa has been finalized. Special thanks to Tony Gibson for organizing everything. Looks like we will have five black belts and two brown belts going to Okinawa in November. Click Here to see the flyer and current Itinerary. Newsletter Sorry, I have been so pre-occupied with the move and other things that I did not update the Newsletter since January. I will stay on top of now. Anyone who has any items, stories etc that should be in here, please email then to me. New Dojo We have moved and finally we are in our new location. The new dojo is located in Dunbarton-Fairport United Church. We have classes Monday, Thursday eveings and Saturday mornings. The beautiful room we have Monday and Thursday is, I believe, the original church from 1881. It is fantastic. Saturday's we are in a smaller room but will usually have the option of a bigger room. We also have the option of outside as we did for the Aikido this past Saturday. If you have not been out to class this week, please plan on attending next week and help us prepare for the upcoming kyu and dan testings as well as our Grand Opening Demonstration. Inspiration Renseikan Dojo Shirts We are taking orders for Renseikan Dojo T-Shirts, Crew neck Sweat shirts & Hooded Sweat Shirts. They come in a variety of colours and you have your choice of which martial art is on the front of the shirt. Print and fill out the order form and bring it in to the dojo to get your order processed. It can take 10-14 days to get the shirts so don't delay, order yours today. We also have weapons, uniforms and other good ideas. Please ask for our new price list at the dojo soon. Renseikan Dojo Crests
The Renseikan Dojo Crests are now available at the dojo. They can be used in many ways, on your dogi it should go on the left side, over your heart. Upcoming Events
Click on any of the upcoming events listed below to learn more: Bring A Friend Week Introduce your friends or family to the martial arts. During the Week of March 12th you can bring as many people as you like to try a martial arts class with you. All we need is a signed waiver (by a parent if the person is under 18 years old) and tell them to bring track pants and a t-shirt for the class.
