October News and Events Update

Training Fees Due: Notices will be going out shortly letting you know when your post-dated training fees are due, along with your Annual Dojo Membership Renewal fee. Please return your post-dated cheques and dojo membership renewal as soon as possible.

Annual Karate Day: On Sunday October 2nd from noon to 4pm we will be holding our Karate Day in Adam's Park (Rozell Rd Parking Lot). Please sign up at the dojo and get directions if needed at that time.

Thanksgiving: The dojo will be closed on Monday October 10th for Thanksgiving. The Jodo and Aikido classes normally held on Monday will be held on Friday October 7th at the same times as they are normally held on Monday

Watanabe Sensei Visit: Watanabe Sensei, Tokyo, Japan will be joining us Friday, Saturday and Sunday October 14-16th for Aikido classes. There will be special aikido classes on Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. Please see the notice in the dojo and plan on attending these sessions. There is a $20 fee per session to go towards Watanabe Sensei's expenses while staying here.

Jodo Seminar: On Sunday, October 23rd from noon to 4pm we will have a Jodo seminar at Renseikan Dojo. Originally scheduled to be held outdoors in Adam's Park, the weather is calling for rain over the next few days so we will hold the seminar at the dojo. There will be students from other dojo attending as well. Please sign up at the dojo. There will be a $20 fee for this seminar, payable when you sign up.

Jodo/Aikido Makeup Class: The dojo will be closed on Monday October 24th for a special karate class so the Jodo and Aikido classes normally held on Monday will be held on Friday October 21st at the same times as they are normally held on Monday.

Special Karate Class: Note!! The visit to Shorin-Ryu Dhyan Dojo has been Post-Poned!!! On Monday, October 24th all karate students are invited to visit Shorin-Ryu Dhyan Karate Dojo under Sensei Harry Persaud, and participate in their 7pm class. We will have a social gathering afterwards - (approx. 8:30pm). Please sign up at the dojo so we know how many students will be attending. The club is located in a Temple at 4345-14th ave in Markham. There will be more information posted in the dojo.

Halloween: The dojo will be closed Monday, October 31st for Halloween. The Monday Jodo and Aikido classes will be held on Friday October 28th at the usual times.

Annual Demonstration: Our Annual Demonstration will be held on Sunday November 6th at 1pm at the dojo. All students should start attending classes regularly to begin preparing for this important event. We will have a pot luck dinner after the demonstration at the dojo. There is a sign up sheet at the dojo for both the demonstration and pot luck party soon.

Parents: You may also "sign-up" via email for any or all of these events instead of coming in to the dojo.
