Karate-do Class Instruction

Karate-do classes at Renseikan Dojo are taught by our chief instructor, Ward Jardine. He is assisted in classes by his experienced Karate-do blackbelt students.

Jardine Sensei

Ward Jardine is the owner and chief instructor (Sensei) of Renseikan Dojo in Pickering, Ontario. In addition to teaching martial arts full-time at the Dojo for the past 20 years, he also created and ran a martial arts program within the Montessori school system for 10 years, and facilitated several martial arts workshops in the Ontario public school system. Sensei holds advanced degree blackbelts in Karate, Aikido, Jodo and Judo, and has trained extensively in the martial arts for over 35 years. With over 30 years of experience teaching the martial arts, he has instructed thousands of children and adults in Karate-do, Aikido, Judo and Jodo. He has also been a guest participant/instructor at martial arts demonstrations in Canada, the United States and Japan.

	Lynn Elwood
Lynn Elwood	Sensei Lynn Elwood has been training in Karate-do under Sensei since 1997. She currently holds a Yondan (4th degree blackbelt) in Karate-do and shodan (1st degree blackbelt) in Jodo.

	Tony Gibson
Tony Gibson	Tony Gibson has been training in Karate-do under Sensei since 2000. He currently holds a nidan (2nd degree blackbelt) in Karate-do.

	Mark Hamlyn
Mark Hamlyn	Mark Hamlyn began his Karate-do training under Sensei in 1997. He currently holds a nidan (2nd degree blackbelt) in Karate-do.

Christopher Naraine	Chris Naraine has been training in Karate-do under Sensei since 2000. He currently holds a nidan (2nd degree blackbelt) in Karate-do.

Kelly Helliwell	Kelly Helliwell has been training in Karate-do under Sensei since 2002. She currently holds a nidan (2nd degree blackbelt) in Karate-do.

Mary Tuccitto	Mary Tuccitto began her training in Karate under Sensei 2002. She currently holds a shodan (1st degree blackbelt) in Karate.

Matthew Naraine	Matthew Naraine began his training in Karate under Sensei 1998. He currently holds a shodan (1st degree blackbelt) in Karate.

	Satpal Jhauj
Satpal Jhauj	Satpal Jhauj began her training in Karate under Sensei 2002. She currently holds a shodan (1st degree blackbelt) in Karate.

	Dan Boyle
Dan Boyle	Dan Boyle trained in Karate-do under both Sensei and Baehr Sensei. He holds a shodan (1st degree blackbelt) in Karate-do and his Stirling Shorin-Ryu Karate Dojo is located in Stirling, Ontario.

Roger Alexander trained in Karate-do under both Sensei and Baehr Sensei. He holds a nidan (2nd degree blackbelt) in Karate-do.

Rob Knox has been involved in the martial arts for over 20 years, and trained in Karate-do under Sensei since 1999. He currently holds a nidan (2nd degree blackbelt) in Karate-do.
