Classes at Renseikan are taught by Ward Jardine, our chief instructor. He is assisted in classes by his experienced blackbelt students.

Jardine Sensei

Ward Jardine is the owner and chief instructor (Sensei) of Renseikan Dojo in Pickering, Ontario. In addition to teaching martial arts full-time at the Dojo for the past 15 years, he also created and ran a martial arts program within the Montessori school system for 10 years, and facilitated several martial arts workshops in the Ontario public school system. Sensei holds advanced degree blackbelts in Karate, Aikido, Jodo and Judo, and has trained extensively in the martial arts for 30 years. With over 25 years of experience teaching the martial arts, he has instructed thousands of children and adults in Karate-do, Aikido, Judo and Jodo. He has also been a guest participant/instructor at martial arts demonstrations in Canada, the United States and Japan.

	Raymond Chong
Raymond Chong	Raymond Chong currently holds a sandan (3rd degree blackbelt) in Aikido. He has trained extensively in Aikido for over ten years. He began his Aikido training with Karasawa Sensei, and is now training exclusively under Jardine Sensei at the Renseikan Dojo.

Mark Hamlyn began his Karate-do training under Sensei in 1997. He currently holds a nidan (2nd degree blackbelt) in Karate-do.

	Lynn Elwood
Lynn Elwood	Lynn Elwood has been training in Karate-do under Sensei since 1997, and in Jodo under Sensei since 2000. She currently holds a sandann (3rd degree blackbelt) in Karate-do and a shodan (1st degree blackbelt) in Jodo.

Don Croft holds an advanced degree blackbelt in Karate-do. He joined Renseikan Dojo to train in Jodo in 2000. He currently holds a sandan (3rd degree blackbelt) in Jodo.

	Carl Ignatius
Carl Ignatius	Carl Ignatius has trained under Sensei for over 20 years, in the martial arts of Karate, Aikido, Jodo and Judo. He began his Aikido training in 1997, and his Jodo training in 2000. He currently holds a shodan (1st degree blackbelt) in Aikido and a shodan (1st degree blackbelt) in Jodo.

Rob Knox has been involved in the martial arts for over 15 years, and has been training in Karate-do under Sensei since 1999. He currently holds a nidan (2nd degree blackbelt) in Karate-do.

Joanna Kurylowicz	Joanna Kurylowicz has been training in Karate-do under Sensei since 2000. She currently holds a shodan (1st degree blackbelt) in Karate-do.

Saeed Mirafzal has been training in Aikido under Sensei since 1998. He currently holds a nidan (2nd degree blackbelt) in Aikido.

Joe Vallejo	Joe Vallejo has trained in Karate-do under Baehr Sensei and Croft Sensei, and is currently training under Sensei in both Karate-do and Jodo. He holds a nidan (2nd degree blackbelt) in Karate-do and a nidan (2nd degree blackbelt) in jodo.

Rick Elwood has been training in Aikido under Sensei since 1998. He currently holds a nidan (2nd degree blackbelt) in Aikido.

Adam Chin Leung Kam	Adam Chin Leung Kam trained in Aikido under both Sensei and Karasawa Sensei. He holds a shodan (1st degree blackbelt) in Aikido and runs a Torakan Aikido Dojo in Trinidad & Tobago.

Dan Boyle	Dan Boyle trained in Karate-do under both Sensei and Baehr Sensei. He holds a shodan (1st degree blackbelt) in Karate-do and his Stirling Shorin-Ryu Karate Dojo is located in Stirling, Ontario.
